Well my bags are packed, it’s time to go …..
I’m leaving on a jet plane!!
With bags full of strange items which I don’t want to have to explain to customs - oil filters, water filters, solar lamps, pegs, toasters with down-under plugs that fit the boat, my new electric pulse seasickness cure to try (we will see how that one goes, and particularly, my vast quantities of (prescription only in some countries) seasickness pills - I’m on my way (slowly) back to the boat and the next leg of the journey, and I can't wait! I have to admit that Matt’s luggage will be far more crazy than mine - he’s even bringing a washing machine as after much investigation into buying one in the Caribbean, its just way easier to bring a small one with him!
Ive got to say it makes me think about the difference between this sudden jumping from one hemisphere to another and one country to another in a matter of hours as compared to the months at sea to change hemispheres!
Hurricane Dorian was looking like she might foil my plans given I’m flying via Miami, but lucky for me she has headed north and it looks good (for me anyway)!!
As for my first stop on the slow journey back to Grenada - can you guess??
