Start here….

You will find lots of information and ideas for the traveler who loves nature and wildlife – no matter your budget. You will also find quite a bit on remote or off the beaten path places and ideas. Anything from Yap or Ascension Island to Transnistria and off the beaten path hikes in New Zealand!
(There is budget travel information as well, but that is just because that’s how I tend to travel. You don’t have to be a budget traveler for all these posts to apply to you.)

You wont find much on where to eat and the standard city attractions – some but not so many. BUT you will find things that others don’t generally write about – especially remote places like Yap, and outdoors things to do in the cities! Here’s a good example in Montreal – where I tell you where to cycle, hike, snowshoe, tube, raft etc right in the city!

Especially if you are new to this, start by looking through the Travel Tips – for planning for all kinds of travel, and check the Resources too – they should be helpful.

Then search for a destination – or check out the options under Destinations.

If you are looking for some travel inspo, try browsing the Remote and off the beaten path.
